True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer Get Naked for Rolling Stone

We think it’s fair to say that season 3 of “True Blood” has been the most violent yet. This week’s episode alone featured more carnage than three horror movies combined. In promotion of the vampire phenomenon three of its stars Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin, and Stephen Moyer will grace the cover of the September 2nd issue of Rolling Stone Magazine. It’s no secret that one of the main elements of “True Blood” is sex, therefore the main actors appearing naked slathered in the “red stuff” shouldn’t come as a shock. In a world that’s been dominated by Twilight and vampires of virtue and innocence Alan Ball’s series reverts to the basics. Vamps are primal, they’re sexy, and at the heart of it all they’re animals.

According to Ball, “To me, vampires are sex,” he says. “I don’t get a vampire story about abstinence. I’m 53. I don’t care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed.”

Apparently everyone else who works on the series shares his sentiment. How many times have we seen Skarsgard’s butt on camera? And in the most recent episode we got more than an eyeful of Paquin’s lady parts in a shower scene with Moyer. That’s just how they roll in Bon Temps.

This “True Blood” issue of Rolling Stone will be available on news stands August 18th.
