It’s been a long time coming, Mary Louise Parker and the rest of the cast of Showtime’s “Weeds” are gearing up for season 6. The show debuts tonight at 10 PM, and will hit the ground running after last season’s deadly cliff-hanger. The Botwin bunch will be on the road and they’re no longer the druggies that you know and love, they’re the Newmans. A family traveling down the straight and narrow — or at least trying to.
If you haven’t already seen the trailer promoting the show’s big return, watch it now:
If that isn’t enough to peak your interest, the fact that Linda Hamilton and Richard Dreyfuss will be guest stars should! Dreyfuss is said to appear in 4 episodes this season as an unexpected character from Nancy’s past. We’re not sure what that means or what their connection is but if it spans over 4 episodes it has to be good!
“Weeds” will be the lead in for another controversial comedy called “The Big C” starring Laura Linney as a cancer survivor who’s trying to get her life back. It co-stars Oliver Platt and Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe.
