Marvel’s The Avengers is set to start production in February with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Clark Gregg. If you can’t wait until the first real trailer for the movie to come out (not the teaser from Comic-Con), you’re in luck. The tagline for the trailer is “What if… the Avengers movie was created years before the actual comic book?” The one thing that really sticks out about this trailer besides the low budget, old-school sci-fi footage is the inclusion of Wasp as one of the characters. Besides the Black Widow and in certain incarnations The Scarlett Witch, she’s the main female known for being in the group. Too bad there’s been no official word of her appearing in the 2012 film. Boo!

Other than that, this is a clever combination of clips that make a pretty cohesive trailer. It makes sense. There’s an actual narrative.
