Robin Wright has been on a professional roll when it comes to her career lately. Not only is she co-starring in the highly anticipated baseball drama Moneyball, but she’s in talks to star in David Fincher’s American adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. The film series already has a huge following in its native Sweden and now it’s time for the U.S. to try their hand at it.

According to Deadline, Wright is in negotiations to join Daniel Craig and Stellan Skarsgard as Erika Berger, “the publisher of crusading finance magazine Millennium, and the occasional lover of journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Craig)”. The character also figures into the novel sequels The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest, and the actress is currently in talks to star in those as well.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo centers on a middle-aged journalist who joins forces with a private investigator named Lisbeth Salander to solve a missing persons case that’s been open for decades. While the supporting cast seems to be rounding out we still have no idea who’s going to play the young Lisbeth. Every actress in Hollywood has been trying to land the part but Fincher is taking his time to find the right girl.
