The casting director for “Law & Order: Los Angeles” has been working hard to fill out the roster for the newest NBC spin-off. The show began production on August 2nd and several key roles have been occupied by a few familiar faces. We previously announced that the series’ cast included Skeet Ulrich, Alfred Molina, Terrence Howard, and Corey Stoll now three new actors have come on board — and they’re all women!
First we have Wanda De Jesus who’s landed the role of Lieutenant Arleen Gonzales, that’s right there’s going to be another woman in charge – deal with it. Then the next two roles were last minute castings due to the shift of a couple other characters.
According to Deadline, originally there was supposed to be one DDA on the series. But when the ADA duties were split in two after Alfred Molina and Terrence Howard signed on to play different ADAs each appearing in roughly half of the episodes, each of them needed his own assistant, thus the need for two DDAs on the show.
Those two parts will be played by Regina Hall who will star as Eva Price, Molina’s assistant and Megan Boone, who’ll work with Howard’s character. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Hall in anything not Scary Movie related so we’re excited to see her join this show.
“LOLA” is slowly but surely becoming one of our must watch newbies for the fall even though we promised ourselves we wouldn’t give in to another spin-off.
What do you think of the growing cast of Law & Order: Los Angeles?
