We have some new info to report regarding CBS’ upcoming “Criminal Minds” spin-off. It’s a casting announcement and it’s a biggie. The series has been sweeping up various film and television stars to join its ensemble and the latest addition is someone we all know and love. It’s Richard Schiff! He’s headed back to the small screen and in a big way…

According to EW, the veteran actor best known for his work on the NBC drama “The West Wing” has joined the cast of “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior” as a regular. He’ll play the role of FBI Director Jack Fickler. The character will make his first appearance during the second episode of the season. He’ll be joining a cast that currently includes Forest Whitacker, Janeane Garofolo, Matt Ryan, Michael Kelly, Beau Garrett, and Kirsten Vangsness.

This cast is really starting to shape up and I’m interested in seeing Whitacker and Schiff work side by side. If you’re not aware of the show’s premise it centers on a group of elite FBI agents who work within a special Behavioral Analysis Unit.

The only bad thing about the new show is its premiere date. It won’t debut during the regular fall season. It’s a midseason replacement, which means it won’t air until January or so. Who wants to wait that long?

What do you think of Schiff joining the cast? Are you interested in Suspect Behavior?
