The end is near! Summit Entertainment has just announced the release date for the final installment in their Twilight film franchise entitled Breaking Dawn. Previously, they established that Part I would hit theaters on November 18, 2011 and now they’ve let us in on when we can expect to see Part II on the big screen…
Breaking Dawn Part II will open nationwide on November 16, 2012 almost one year after its predecessor. When the studio first announced their decision to split the film into two parts they hadn’t decided on when the second installment would debut. Now months later, the cat is out of the bag and we finally know when we’ll be free from the Twilight universe.
Breaking Dawn was originally published a couple of months before the first Twilight film hit theaters in August of 2008, and its narrative features the perspective of multiple characters. Divided into 3 parts, the 1st and 3rd sections are told from the point of view of Bella (Kristen Stewart), and the second section from the perspective of Jacob (Taylor Lautner). It prominently features all 3 favorite characters including Edward (Robert Pattinson).
What do you think of the date Summit set for Breaking Dawn? Is it too far away?
