A couple new photos have surfaced from two established film franchises. The first one is from the set Scream 4 and it features the masked killer, Ghostface. We haven’t seen him in a decade and now he’s back to slicing and dicing as usual. Then there’s a shot of James Franco, Freida Pinto, and Andy Serkis filming the Planet of the Apes prequel, Rise of the Apes. The photo shows Serkis in a motion capture suit playing the main primate, Caesar. Take a look…
Scream 4 is supposed to kick-start an all new trilogy in the film series. Original cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette will return but we don’t know if they’ll survive. They’ll be handing over the horror reigns to Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and Rory Culkin, who themselves may or may not die. The movie is currently in production in Michigan and is slated for release on April 15, 2011.
Rise of the Apes centers a young scientist (Franco) who’s working on a cure for Alzheimer’s disease that’s being tested on apes. His main subject is a primate named Caesar (Serkis) who becomes highly evolved at a fast pace and in order to protect him from further testing the scientist moves him into his home. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 24, 2011.
What do you think of the first photos from both films? Which are you the most excited to see?
