Natalie Portman is a goddess at Comic-Con not only because of her role in Star Wars, but the comic adaptation V for Vendetta. She attended the official Thor Hall H panel and also took some time to talk to the press about her role in the superhero movie as well as a few other projects. I’m talking about the cult favorite Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the top secret Darren Aronofsky film Black Swan, the David Fincher adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon tattoo and possible Thor sequels.

While at the panel the actress was asked if she would be making an appearance in The Avengers. She said no but she will be in any future Thor movies that Marvel decides to put out. This is good news because who can afford to write a script for all the superheroes in The Avengers plus their love interests? No thanks.

Next, she spoke at a round table interview about her role in Black Swan,

The character’s name is Nina and she’s someone who’s trying to find her own artistic voice and has to sort of lose everything to gain that vision and that sense of self. It’s very hard to describe you just have to see it.

As for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Portman said, “We just got a new script from David O. Russell and we’re hoping to make it this year.”

And for all of you who have been hoping that she would play the female lead in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo film, get over it because it’s not happening… or at least not yet. She says, “No. I really like the books but I have not been approached at all so any of that is pure rumor.

What do you think of Portman’s latest updates? Do you think she could take on the lead in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo?
