One of the highlights of today’s Green Lantern panel was Ryan Reynolds reciting the classic Lantern Corps Oath. For the first time, in front of the viewing public he said those magical words that we’ve all been waiting to hear. Lucky for you we recorded the historic moment and we’ve got it right here! Watch Reynolds recite the oath below…

The reason Reynolds said the oath is because a young boy asked him how he felt saying the words for the first time in the movie. He thought the kid was adorable, so not only did he recite the Lantern Corps Oath then and there, but he also autographed a Green Lantern book for him. It was a really sweet moment as you can see from the video.

    Ryan Reynolds is awesome… is a shame Hal Jordan is lame and devoid of personality though…

    Reynolds is more than a favorite of this fan, and while I love Green Lantern, I'm going with faith that this will turn out for the better.. I really hope he's a better GL than he could have been Flash. But truly, DEADPOOL IS WHERE YOU BELONG!

    I'll be honest, it gave me chills, but for some reason, I'm still not sold on Reynolds as Hal. I love Ryan Reynolds, but he just seems too…goofy for Hal. Even that, awesome as it was, seemed like it was slightly tongue-in-cheek.

    Absolutley charming. Ryan has a lot of class and what a sweet thing he did for that boy. That is what makes him who he is. I wish I had been that little boy.
