Is there anything Jon Hamm can’t do? The actor is gearing up for the premiere of the fourth and highly anticipated season of “Mad Men” and he’s managed to land a gig on another series. According to EW, Hamm will lend his voice to the long running Fox hit “The Simpsons” for an episode when it returns this fall. Who will he play? Find out…
According to exec producer Al Jean, Hamm will star in an episode entitled “Donnie Fatso” (yes, it is a play on Donnie Brasco) that’s slated to air in December. He’ll play an FBI supervisor whom Homer reports to when he becomes an undercover informant in prison and infiltrates Fat Tony’s inner circle. This also means that Joe Mantegna will be back to reprise his gangster role.
Even though it would be hilarious to see them try and fit in a little “Mad Men” reference, Jean says it’s not happening.
Jon’s a gruff FBI man. Homer asks if he can pick his undercover name and finally Jon just says, ‘Your name will be Nicky Blue Pants Altosaxophony.’ Homer says, ‘Do I get to keep the name when I’m done with it?’ and Jon says, ‘No, it’s the property of the government.’ He has no patience for Homer.”
This isn’t the first time Hamm has done voice work. He also appeared in this summer’s Shrek Forever After as Brogan.
