The folks over at Showtime decided to dip into their casting bag of tricks for the upcoming season of “Dexter” The killer drama will have more than its fair share of new faces this year including Julia Stiles, Jonny Lee Miller, Shawn Hatosy, and Peter Weller. According to TVGuide the latest actor to join the cast is a Showtime alum from the network’s defunct series “The L Word.” It’s Katherine Moennig.
Moennig appeared as out the box hairdresser Shane on “The L Word,” and moved on to star as a medical professional on the short-lived CBS series “Three Rivers.” Now she’s landed a new gig on “Dexter” that’s said to be a guest spot and nothing serious. But then again, how many times have we seen actors go from guest stars to recurring to regulars on a show?
All we know for sure is that Moennig’s character will play a tattoo artist in one episode. There will be a panel for “Dexter” at this year’s Comic-Con where new season 5 footage will be shown. You never know who’ll show up and with all these new characters on deck it will be tricky to see who the good and the bad guys are, especially when the protagonist is a murderer.
What do you think of Moennig appearing on Dexter?
