Over the past few weeks, the general population has had to deal with an astonishing blow. The long running James Bond franchise has hit a road block and we don’t know if it will ever return. The 23rd installment of the series has been put on hold for the foreseeable future with no change in sight. But over at IGN UK, they were able to catch up with franchise producer Michael G. Wilson who seems to have some semi-good news…

When asked about the status of the next Bond early this spring both Wilson and fellow producer Barbara Broccoli said,

“Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on ‘Bond 23′ indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of ‘Bond 23.”

That was a depressing announcement but recently the producer’s spirits seem to be somewhat high. Wilson stated, “Both Barbara and I are convinced that we’ll be bringing you another Bond film soon.” Sam Mendes was previously attached to direct and we hear that Daniel Craig is still on board to play Bond for a third time.

Do you think the another Bond film will ever get made?
