The Other Guys is one of the many films that will be promoted at this year’s 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, and prior to the big event the first clip from the movie has been released. It comes courtesy of Moviefone and features Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell having a heated argument in the middle of a police station. Watch the comedy and the antics ensue…

The Other Guys centers on two New York detectives Allen Gamble (Ferrell), a forensic accountant who’s more interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Wahlberg), a tough guy who’s been stuck with him as his partner ever since an unfortunate run-in with Derek Jeter. They both idolize the city’s top cops, Danson and Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the “Other Guys” to step up, things don’t quite go as planned.

As you can see, the clip sets up the dysfunctional relationship that the two stars will have in the film. Ferrell seems to be playing the dorky, straight-laced type while Wahlberg is the shoot from the hip kind of guy.

The Other Guys is directed by Adam McKay and is scheduled to hit theaters on August 6th.
