Universal has released a behind the scenes featurette for their upcoming comic adaptation, Scott Pilgrim vs The World and it’s awesome. The video has interviews from stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and the film’s director Edgar Wright who’s known for his amazing collaborations with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. There’s plenty of new footage shown in this clip especially a hilarious line of dialogue from Brandon Routh at the end. Take a look….

Scott Pilgrim centers on a guy who picks the wrong girl to fall in love with. Her name is Ramona Flowers and in order for them to be together he has to defeat (not fight) all seven of her evil exes, some of whom include Routh, Chris Evans, and Jason Schwartzman.

I love the enthusiasm that the actors have towards the film. It seems like everyone had a great time shooting it and really care about the final product. Cera was perfectly cast and Winstead looks like a spitting image of her comic counterpart. Hopefully, Pilgrim lives up to the hype and gives us something awesome to look forward to this summer.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World hits theaters on August 13, 2010.
