X-Men First Class continues to dominate the news today with several castings. Nicholas Hoult and Caleb Landry Jones have both been confirmed to play Hank McCoy (Beast) and Sean Cassidy (Banshee) in the 20th Century Fox film and according to a report from Entertainment Weekly we can also add Lucas Till’s name to the list.

If Till’s name doesn’t sound familiar it’s probably because you’re over the age of 14 and not in the Miley Cyrus set. The young actor appeared as her love interest in Hannah Montana: The Movie but we won’t hold that against him. The site claims that sources close to the film have him in negotiations to play Alexander Summers aka Havok, the younger brother of Cyclops who has the power to generate “plasma blasts,” an ability he sometimes has difficulty controlling.

Earlier today, it was rumored that Aaron Johnson was set to take on the part of Cyclops but that’s yet to be confirmed. EW also warns that certain character names are (possibly) being thrown out to knock fans off the trail of who the actors are really set to play. Who knows, they say Till is Havok but he could be Angel or Iceman for all we know.

Does the studio plan on casting Jean Grey at some point? We have all the male student roles being filled out but her part’s still vacant.

What do you think of the cast of X-Men First Class so far?
