We never thought that Twilight and “True Blood” could unite their respective fan bases but we were wrong. Two stars from the vampire franchises will join forces for a new film called Catch .44. According to Deadline, Nikki Reed who plays Rosalie in the Twilight series will co-star with Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica from “True Blood”) in the feature.

Reed and Woll will join the cast that currently includes Bruce Willis, Malin Ackerman and Oscar winner Forest Whitaker. The film centers on three gorgeous female assassins sent on a job that might be their last. The premise doesn’t sound that original so I’m assuming there has to be more to it than that. The screenplay was written by Aaron Harvey who’ll also direct.

It’s great to see both of these actresses get roles that take them outside of the vampire box they’ve been stuck in for the past couple years. Reed is a decent actress but you don’t get to see that because of the material she works with in the Twilight series. As for Woll, she’s consistently one of the best parts of “True Blood.” She’s a true scene stealer (sorry Bill aka Stephen Moyer) and I can’t wait to see her in more stuff.

Production of Catch .44 begins this month on July 8th and will take place in Louisiana.

What do you think of Reed and Woll joining Catch .44?
