Get ready for another toy-based movie that sounds insane but somehow still got green lit by a major studio. According to THR, the directors behind the hit animated film Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs have been tapped to helm Warner Bros LEGO adaptation. Whether you like it or not, those annoying building blocks are headed to a movie theater near you!

Phil Lord and Chris Miller are in final negotiations to helm the LEGO movie, which will be produced by Dan Lin and Roy Lee. The film’s plot hasn’t been released but it’s said to be “an adventure in the Lego world mixing live action and animation.” Sounds exciting…and yes that was sarcasm.

It turns out that the directors actually pitched their idea for the movie to Warner Bros and LEGO executives before landing the job, which means they actually wanted to do it. No family members were being held hostage, no mob bosses were threatening their lives, this was all part of their plan.

Aside from LEGO, Lord and Miller are currently developing their big screen version of 21 Jump Street, with Jonah Hill over at Columbia. They plan on directing LEGO after they take on the action-cop-dramedy.
