Earlier this week, Twihards from all over the country (and abroad) set up camp in front of Los Angeles’ Nokia Plaza in hopes of seeing their favorite vampires and werewolves during the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. From an outside perspective they all looked insane and the media had a field day with their extreme behavior (us included) but at the end of the day their hard work payed off. Take a look…

The Eclipse crew walked a “black carpet” and were hounded my photographers, journalists, and fans alike. They all wanted some time with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and the rest of the cast. A college sophomore named Monica Siegel, was one of the many Twihards in attendance and between her and her two friends, they dropped $2500 dollars and flew hundreds of miles to attend the event.

“It’s the movie. This movie is my favorite of the three so far, definitely. It’s so much more exciting. The love triangle is at its height. It’s a very exciting film and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.” – Lautner

“I hope they really like it. It’s different from the first two, but it kind of takes little elements from the stories, good consistency. I hope people will like it.”- Pattinson

“I’m really glad they’re playing the soundtrack. It’s making me feel good. If I could have headphones on the carpet the whole time, I think I’d be fine.” – Stewart

Over 9,000 wristbands were given out to those who waited in line but only 550 were given special access to the fan viewing area.

Were you one of the lucky fans who attended the Twilight Saga Eclipse premiere? Do you think they were insane for camping out?
