Lake Bell Drops Out of Scream 4

Over the past few weeks, the cast of Scream 4 has grown to epic proportions. Not only will the stars from the original series return (Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox) but a slew of new faces will join them. The last time we checked, Lauren Graham and Anthony Anderson were confirmed alongside Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Nico Tortorella, and Lake Bell. Oh wait, Lake Bell is no longer attached to the movie! She’s out.
Bell took to her Twitter recently to deliver the devastating news. She will no longer co-star in the film or get the chance to work with horror legend, Wes Craven. Here’s what she wrote:
Sucks: Scheduling conflicts with my current gig means I cant do #Scream4! (Hey horror bloggers, I know who the killer is…) #i’llnevertell.
She was originally set to star as a cop and former classmate of Sidney Prescott (Campbell) but it looks like that role will go to someone else. We’re not sure who because nothing has officially been announced but when it is we’ll let you know.
On another note, she’s already read the script and is well aware of who’s behind the film’s latest batch of killings. That’s what truly sucks! Not scheduling conflicts but knowing the end of a movie that you won’t even star in. Boo!
