As the date approaches for the Harry Potter theme park to open its doors to the muggles of the world, the film’s cast and crew decided to be its first guests. MTV reports that on Wednesday night, Universal brought in the franchise stars and Oscar winning conductor/composer John Williams for the grand opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Among those at the opening were Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, James and Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, Matthew Lewis and Warwick Davis. They were given a special tour of the World’s many attractions, mostly to boast about the park to the public, which they did.

Radcliffe, who has played Harry Potter in the film series since 2001 said:

“It’s absolutely fantastic. I couldn’t be more impressed.”

Matthew Lewis, who most of us know as the shy and awkward Neville Longbottom, said:

“It’s just a total immersion into the world. In 100 years, it’s still going to be [there]. It’s a little weird for me.”

There’s a total of three rides — two roller coasters (Flight of the Hippogriffs and Dragon Challenge) and a visual experience (Forbidden Journey). Radcliffe and Grint favored the twin roller coasters, while Lewis, Wright, and the Phelps’ loved the visual experience.
