Best actress nominees Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan are teaming up for a new film entitled, Never Let Me Go. It’s based on the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro of the same name and is directed by Mark Romanek. Besides the two leading ladies the film has a pretty decent supporting cast including Sally Hawkins, Charlotte Rampling, and Andrew Garfield. Check out the trailer…

Never Let Me Go centers on three students who attend an exclusive boarding school called Hailsham. When they reach their 18th birthdays they’re sent out into the real world to fend for themselves, which forces them to uncover a gloomy truth about their lives. If you haven’t read the book or aren’t familiar with the story I won’t give too much away because that would ruin it.

Never Let Me Go is a highly acclaimed novel and it looks like the film version will do it some justice. It’s ironic to see both Knightley and Mulligan together again considering how much Mulligan’s career has changed since they both appeared in Pride and Prejudice. Oh, what a difference 5 years can make.

A release date has yet to be set for the film.
