Confirmed: Twilight’s Breaking Dawn Split in Two, Condon To Direct Both
By Krystal Clark
Run for the hills! Summit Entertainment has just confirmed that the fourth installment of their vampire series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will be split into two parts. Since they decided to go all Harry Potter on us we’ll have to suffer through the elongated Edward, Bella, and Jacob triangle for a few more years. Check out the details below…
In the press release it was revealed that Bill Condon will direct both Breaking Dawn Part I and Part II, with the first being released on November 18, 2011. No date has been set for the second and final sequel but we’re sure they’ll announce it soon. At the moment Melissa Rosenberg is writing both screenplays, which will be astounding (rolls eyes) and Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and author Stephenie Meyer are producing.
THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan as well as returning members of the Cullen Family including Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.
If you can’t wait until next year, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will debut in theaters later this month on June 30th.
Are you surprised that they broke the books up into two movies? Do you think the split will work for the story?

OH Good lord … talk about trying to milk the series for all its worth
Splitting WORKED with Harry potter because the plot was actually good and needed to be done right in order to tie up all the loose ends … twilight it just awful by comparison … shallow charaters, predictable plots… a pimple on the arse of literature …
I mean serisouly, look at it from a literaty angle … the writting is terrible, not clever or interesting… just plain and dull
i guess this will mean ANOTHER oppertunity for Taylor Launter to get shirtless (rolls eyes) … seriously you know its a bad film if the have to resort to selling it through sex
