Last year we got our first look at Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers when the concept logos appeared at the Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas. Since then the films have made a lot of progress, the casts have filled out and just last week we got a sneak peek at Thor and Captain America in full costume. At this year’s Licensing event Marvel returned to the floor with two revamped logos for their newest superhero franchises…
As you can see, they made some drastic changes from last year’s design in comparison to what we have today. The most obvious difference is the title shift for Captain America. They officially switched around The First Avenger making it follow instead of precede the character’s name. The revisions they made on both logos are more in tune with the contemporary look that Marvel’s already established with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk.
Thor is scheduled to hit theaters on May 6, 2011, while Captain America: The First Avenger is set to debut on July 22, 2011.
What do you think of the new logos for Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger? Do you think they look better or worse than the old ones?
