The MTV Movie Awards Becomes The Twilight Movie Awards!

Taking over the MTV Movie Awards once again is The Twilight Saga this time with New Moon… last year it was Twilight and next year it’s sure to be Eclipse! Which makes me wonder how long until MTV decides to finally go all the way and rename the award show the Twilight Movie Awards and they only let Twi-Hards vote on their favorite movies and they can hand out tiny statues of Edward Cullen sulky on top of popcorn.
One thing is clear, if you want to win an MTV Movie Award statue you have to either be in a break-through hit, have your husband cheat on you with a porn star and make a killer comeback speech or be in a Twilight film. Although there is no doubt that Anna Kendrick deserved all the accolades given to her this past year for stellar performance in Up in the Air, lets face it, Clooney wasn’t on this list picking up an award for anything, nor was Jason Reitman, the real reason she won “breakout star” is because…. she’s a Twilight-er!
The other odd thing about the MTV Movie Awards is how dated it is. I mean Tom Cruise dancing with J-Lo in a fat suit is funny, but Tropic Thunder came out in August of 2008! 2008 people! Kendrick was “the next big thing” in 2009, now she’s just “a big thing” — in a very tiny body I might add. And although Twilight is the fasting spinning movie series of all time, we’re about to get the latest film Eclipse in theaters in a few weeks! Why are we thinking about New Moon?
I also love how they keep coming up with new categories to ensure that Robert Pattinson always gets an award. I’ll stop complaining, here are all the award Twilight or Twilight-ers won in 2009, 2010, and my predictions for 2011…

I completely agree with you. It's been driving me and a lot of other people crazy. Personally, I like the Twilight Saga…but I'm deffinatley not a twi-hard and I don't think any of those awards should have gone to them. Is it me or is Kristen Stewart the most awkward person on earth? I really just couldn't stand it. They replayed the awards this morning so I just had to go on the internet and search for anyone who might have written anything like this. Thank you person who wrote this…you made my day.

Ok came on twilight saga really?! after all the MTV movie awards are going to be on june so this is totally false. We hope the other movies, actor or actresses can win this awards they deserve.

I think the best kiss award is going to be the hardest, for us twi-hards. Rob and kristen or Tay with Kristen. This is going so hard but can't wait for the outcome. But i do think Rob and Kristen should come up with a better kiss this year, if they do win I just hope it will be a little better. If Taylor wins because it was a great kiss on the mountain top( it was in the movie), that it will great because they are really close friends so it is going to be a little wired to win an award with your friend, and then have to kiss him in front of everyone. Thanks Mtv for having this award because it going to blow everyone heads when you pick the winner.
