Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Sneak Peek
By Krystal Clark
During the MTV Movie Awards, viewers were given a sneak peek at exclusive footage from the final installment of the Harry Potter franchise, The Deathly Hallows. If there’s one thing the Potter kids have that the Twilighters don’t it’s legit acting chops. Watch closely as Rupert Grint goes toe to toe with Daniel Radcliffe because he brings it! Take a look…
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been described as the darkest installment of the book series and we don’t expect the film to be any different. In the clip you hear Voldemort state that he must kill Harry and there’s a shot of Hermione with two fallen boys on the ground behind her. One of them looks like a red-head i.e. Ron Weasley and he isn’t in the best shape. It looks like he got taken through a giant cheese grater.
There’s also talk about Harry’s dead parents, which results in a fight between him and Ron. For those of you who’ve read the books, why does he go off on him regarding such a serious and painful subject? He’s supposed to be his friend. What’s up with that?
What do you think of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sneak peek?

That's the script taking liberties for drama. Ron never said that to Harry.
Man I'm a geek! LOL

That's because Rupert Grint is a fantastic actor who deserves much, much more credit. Movie looks fantastic!!

He says that because he is wearing the locket which is part of Voldermorts soul and is cursed.
Im a geek what can I say.

Aww really? I gotta say I love that scene between them though.

He might not have said those exact words to Harry in the book but they do have a huge argument, and it is as some one else says " he is wearing the locket which is part of Voldermorts soul and is cursed"

Well while wearing the locket, Voldypoo's soul feeds into your insecurities and effs with your mind. So Ron wasn't himself when he said that (though he never said that exactly in the book, I think he said something about Harry being lucky not having to worry about his family because they were safe, and Harry says NO THEY ARE DEAD, i can't remember) but yeah. Rupert is going to own this movie with his awesomeness. And I agree about the Twilighters and their lack of acting skills. They suck and no one will remember them in 5 years.

Ron and Harry are arguing, and Harry says, "But my parents are dead!" and Ron says something like, "and mine could be going the same way.." Yeah, it partly being sick from the splinching, part frustration because of their conditions and not knowing what's going on, and that locket,… it made him down right mean and horrible.
Usually, I hate it when they change Ron's lines or situations to make things worse (thinks about what happened between the boys in GoF), but in this situation, it seems from the clip to be more powerful than in the book. Because to me, him saying that he doesn't have a family, not only means him not having a blood family, but not having the Weasleys or his 'brother' Ron!
That makes it cut like a knife!!!

WOW! It's epic! It's amazing! I've still got chills and can't stop watching it!! I can't believe it's only 54 seconds long! There's so much in that 50 seconds! I seriously can't wait to see these movies! This trailer was the best part of an otherwise terrible show.

Ron does say something similar. He's pissed at Harry, because they find out Ginny got caught sneaking into Snape's office. Harry and Hermione aren't taking very serious and Ron gets upset. He tells Harry that he doesn't care about Ginny and then proceeds to tell Harry that he can't know how Ron feels because Harry doesn't have a family. I can't remember the exact words, but the fight is very nasty in the book and they both say some very hurtful things to each other. The movie isn't taking any liberties.

There's a moment in the books that a Ron said the similar thing. Some of the factors why Ron was pissed off were: the cursed locket (which he was wearing) manipulated his mind in some way, making him think of things that there's something going on with harry and hermione. Also, he thinks that after days of searching for the horcrux, they're still going nowhere. His family in danger is also one of the things they fought about, making him think that Harry doesn;t care if Ginny gets killed or the rest of his family.
He actually never said 'that' line to Harry in the books, I think it's actually below the belt. it's okay, I still love how this scene was played out in the movie.

You want to know the level of my geekdom? I have this book on CD and have been listening to it every evening. LOL
Ron (to Hermione): Oh, you're sure are you? Right then, well, I won't bother myself about them. It's alright for you two isn't it, with your parents safely out of the way…
Harry: MY PARENTS ARE DEAD!
Ron: And mine could be going the same way!
Then Harry tells Ron to go back to his family so his Mommy can feed him up. Ron tries to have a go at Harry but Hermione puts a sheild between them. I think the statement was a bit of a dig at Hermione whom he was annoyed with because she was taking Harry's side.
While this does look like a pretty intense scene, it makes me wonder how they will play the locket scene as it gave insight to how Ron truly felt about Harry.
By the way, what does everyone think of the shot of Harry releasing Hedwig? Is it possible the filmmakers are going to spare us?
I thought Harry was being more of a jerk in that scene than Ron.

Ron has been wearing that stuipid locket of Lord Voldemort's and he just got mad and….well….exploded in his face. When I read that I was SO shocked!

I couldn't belive when Ron got so mad at Harry! I had to reread it to totally get the point!!!!!
