First Photo from AMC’s The Walking Dead

If you’re a fan of the AMC dramas “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad” it’s time for you to take a walk on the wild side, and by wild we mean horrifying! The cable network has been developing the new series, “The Walking Dead“, which is an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name. Recently production began on the show and the first official photo has surfaced…
The first season of “The Walking Dead” will only be six episodes (frown on our faces) and it will make its debut during AMC’s Fearfest in October. The series will be written, produced and directed by three-time Academy Award-nominee Frank Darabont and produced by Gale Anne Hurd (The Incredible Hulk, The Terminator). The story centers on Rick Grimes, a small-town cop who leads a group of survivors in their struggle against a world besieged by zombies.
Here’s a closer look at the eyes of a dead woman…
The show’s cast is headlined by Andrew Lincoln and “Prison Break” alum Sarah Wayne Callies as well as Laurie Holden from “The Shield.” After seeing the series’ zombie makeup we’re getting a serious 28 Days Later vibe here. Not bad.
