New Lost DVD Will Include Unseen Footage From Finale

If you’re still angry about the conclusion of ABC’s “Lost” there may be hope for a REAL resolution. The network is releasing “Lost: The Complete Collection” on DVD and Blu-ray this summer and it will feature some extra footage that didn’t make the cut during the finale. According to Michael Emerson, who starred as the conniving Ben Linus on the show, he and Jorge Garcia shot a few island scenes that never made the air.
Emerson visited the G4 series “Attack of the Show,” where he revealed that there’s more to the story after Hurley and Ben became number 1 and number 2 of the island.
“Well, for those people that want to pony up and buy the Complete Lost Series, there is a bonus feature, which is, um, you could call it an epilogue, a lost scene,” he said. “It’s a lot, it’s 12 or 14 minutes that opens a window onto that gap of unknown time between Hurley becoming number one and the end of the series.”
The DVD and Blu-ray will be available on August 24th, so you’ve got plenty of time to decide whether or not those extra 12 or 14 minutes are worth your money. In hindsight, I couldn’t care less because unless they’ve got some extra footage answering a few of the MANY questions they left open ended about the island itself I’m not interested.

Your Lost posts are extremely frustrating. Can someone else on the site write about it? Maybe someone who actually grasped what happened and why it was the best they could have done with all the hype. A beautiful and poetic send-off for a great series. And here you are on your high horse bashing it.
Why don't you let go of your absurd questions: Where does the island come from? Who cares? It represents all humanity. The source of good and evil. What was the light cave? Obviously have not been paying attention to everything. The wine bottle/cork analogy. Where have you been this whole time? What did the numbers mean? REALLY? The numbers were the numbers of the candidates. Written on the cave wall! Why was Penny in the church but her brother Daniel wasn’t? Daniel still had unresolved issues before he could move on. Same with Eloise. What was Jacob? Are you really that clueless? What was the Man in Black’s name? Really? Is that what you need to enjoy the finale? I'm honestly wasting my time trying to knock sense into you. My wrists don't deserve the beating I'm giving them by typing all this.

The Lost finale was awesome. I feel like it went over a lot of people's heads… I also think it's one of those things where no matter what they did, a whole lot of people would be annoyed. I think they did the right thing by leaving the island itself mostly a mystery.
