50 Cent Extreme Weight Loss For Things Fall Apart

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson wants people to take him seriously as an actor, so he’s decided to go the method route. Move over Christian Bale from The Machinist, there’s a new malnutritioned character headed to the big screen. The rapper is known for his beefy physique but has traded in his muscles for skin and bones to star in the feature film, Things Fall Apart.
According to the website,Thisis50, the rapper dropped 54 pounds to star as a football player who learns he has cancer. “He went from 214 pounds to an astonishing 160 with a liquid diet and three-hour-a-day treadmill walks for nine weeks.” As you can tell from the above photo and the one below he’s taking the role very seriously but will that physical determination make up for his acting skills? It would really suck if he looked the part but couldn’t pull off the dialogue.
Things Fall Apart will be directed by Mario Van Peeples and will co-star Ray Liotta who will play a doctor aiding him during his treatment process. The cast also includes Lynn Whitfield and Steve Eastin. To be completely honest, these photos are terrifying but I think that’s the exact reaction 50 wants us to have.
