Who knew that Oscar winner Russell Crowe had a soft spot for catchy R&B tunes? The actor along with his Merry Men from Robin Hood recently performed a rendition of Sean Kingston’s 2007 hit, “Beautiful Girls.” And get this, it’s not half bad! Watch Crowe, Kevin Durand, Scott Grimes, and Alan Doyle get down with their bad selves…

The four actors were at a press junket and somehow, someway a reporter got them to break into song ON camera. Surprisingly, they looked like they were having a good time doing it and Doyle even broke out an instrument to get the party started.

Not only did they have the lyrics down but they also had the correct harmonies and even scatted in the background! Doyle looked like he was the most comfortable out of the group but that’s no surprise considering he’s a musician by trade (he’s the singer/songwriter for Great Big Sea).

If they came out with a Merry Men album filled with the catchiest contemporary songs of the decade we might actually buy it. Damn it Russell Crowe, is there anything you can’t do?

What did you think of Russell Crowe and his Merry Men’s rendition of Beautiful Girls? Are you surprised by the performance?
