With the first three Twilight movies the production schedule went like clockwork. The actors shot the films back to back with no problem but a lot has changed in the past two years. The creepy vampire series has become a phenomenon making its stars overnight sensations so we’re not surprised to hear that a few of them (Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) are asking for a pay raise. According to THR, filming on the final installment Breaking Dawn has recently hit the skids and it’s all their fault.
The trade is reporting that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are in the final stages of negotiating their contracts, while secondary stars Billy Burke and Peter Facinelli are already on board. It’s those younger Cullens who are throwing a monkey wrench into the operation. Even though Summit is offering the actors 10 times what they made in the first film the vamps think their suggested amount is insulting considering how financially successful the franchise has become.
The last time someone from the series tried to hold out over money they kicked them to the curb, just look at Rachelle Lefevre. They said she left because of “scheduling conflicts” but we all know the truth. Summit refuses to comment on negotiations but they have proven that they aren’t afraid to recast if the talks continue to drag on. They want production on Breaking Dawn to start as soon as possible.
Hmm, could we be seeing a new Alice and Emmett in the near future? Hold on to your butts Twihards you might be in for a rude awakening.
Would you watch Breaking Dawn if they recast Alice and Emmett? Who could replace them?
