If you’re a male between the ages of 18 and 25 who’ll be in or around New York City this weekend this post’s for you! Paramount Pictures is looking for three actors to fill the LEAD roles in a new feature film that will begin shooting this fall. The best part is that no previous experience is necessary (although a musical background is a plus).

David Chase of the hit HBO show, “The Sopranos” will be making his directorial debut with this untitled rock-drama.

The roles up for grabs include:

  • DOUGLAS: A high school student of Italian descent. Douglas is not very athletic, very much in the background at school. He becomes the drummer/back up vocalist of his friends’ band.
  • WELLS: An artistic, upper class guitarist for the band. Wells is probably the most intelligent of the group.
  • RONNY: Quite different from Douglas, Ronny is athletic, unpredictable and the “King Rocker” in his small town. He is the lead singer of their band.

Here’s the venue info for the auditions…

  • Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 1:00pm – 5:30pm

  • Ripley-Grier Studios
  • 520 Eighth Avenue, Room #17D

Do you think it’s wise for Paramount to look for novice actors? Are you interested in auditioning?
