It’s finally here! Marvel and Paramount Pictures have released the first official photo from Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Thor. It features Chris Hemsworth as the title character and yes, he’s wearing the costume! It’s not a full frontal image but we get the gist of the design. It looks like they took the concept from the comic and transferred it directly to the film. Take a look…
Thor centers on a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. As punishment, Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans. Once here, he learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends dark forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
Thor’s arms are covered! It looks like they’ve decided to go with the gray sleeved looked as opposed to his bare guns. Perhaps the idea of him being fully exposed, while Iron Man and Captain America are covered from head to toe wouldn’t make any sense. Also, we can’t tell how long his hair is in this photo. It’s conveniently pulled to the side preventing us from getting the full effect. Hopefully after this, the next photo will be a complete body shot with hair, arms, and all.
What do you think of Chris Hemsworth as Thor? What do you think of the costume?
