As a self-diagnosed claustrophobic the teaser poster for Ryan Reynolds‘ new movie Buried scares the sh*t out of me! The Rodrigo Cortes directed thriller made quite the impression on audiences when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival (read our review) and landed itself a distribution deal with Lionsgate. Now the studio has released a terrifying new poster and it will definitely have you shaking in your boots…

Buried is about a guy named Paul (Reynolds) a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After he’s attacked by a group of Iraqis he randomly wakes up to find himself buried alive inside a coffin! Armed with only a lighter and a cell phone he’s in a race against time to escape his claustrophobic death trap.

The creative team behind this one sheet really knew what they were doing by filling it up with negative space. You really get an idea of how isolated Reynolds’ character is and that’s where the majority of the terror comes from. Being confined to a coffin 6 feet under with a limited amount of oxygen sounds like a complete nightmare.
