What year is it? We’ve been struck with some serious nostalgia after watching the trailer for the new video game Marvel vs. Capcom: Fate of Two Worlds. It’s been a decade since the release of Marvel vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes and after a long and agonzing wait they finally decided to put out a sequel! The first trailer has been released and it’s so dramatic, it’s so epic, it’s so…Marvel. Take a look…
A lot has happened in ten years but the character design is somewhat the same. Everyone will be in 3D but still have the same old school look they’re known for, which is very important when it comes to Street Fighter because it doesn’t matter how futuristic games get those guys never change. According to MTV,
Seth Killian, who has been working on Capcom’s fighting games for years and is a special advisor on “Marvel vs. Capcom 3,” described the art style as a “living comic book.” This comes through in the game’s debut trailer, which features heavy contrasts and shadows to give an almost hand-drawn look (despite all the characters being rendered in 3-D). True to the series’ roots, though, the actual gameplay will play from a single perspective, just like in “Street Fighter 4.”
Characters that appear in the trailer include Ryu,Wolverine, Iron Man, Hulk, Morrigan and a newcomer to the series, Chris Redfield, of the Resident Evil franchise. They didn’t show Gambit or Storm, which sucks for me because those are the only two characters I ever use.

The Fate of Two Worlds is due out in the spring of 2011. Who can actually wait that long?
