Just when you thought we were done with Taylor Lautner here’s another casting scoop that involves one of his films. According to The Wrap, Lily Collins who previously starred in the Oscar nominated film The Blind Side has just been cast opposite Lautner in the upcoming thriller, Abduction.

Abduction centers on a youth who discovers the parents who raised him aren’t his real folks, a revelation that triggers events and leaves him running for his life. Lautner will star as the lead, while Collins will play his girlfriend in the Lionsgate production. If the thought of him headlining a thriller that doesn’t involve werewolves or vampires surprises you here’s another shocking revelation, Abduction will be directed by John Singleton. That’s right, Boyz n the Hood John Singleton!

These three together will make an interesting team. Collins pulled off a pretty solid performance in The Blind Side (her feature debut) and she just wrapped a stint in the upcoming manga adaptation Priest with Paul Bettany. Even though she doesn’t have that many features under her belt I’ll take her acting over Lautner’s any day.

What do you think about Collins being cast in Abduction? What do you think of the story?
