For all you Romeo & Julet, Australia, and Moulin Rouge fan out there, we’ve just come across a sweet auction going on at Director Baz Luhrmann is auctioning off a walk-on role in his next motion picture! As we all know, what film he’ll be making has not been made clear to the masses yet. We have heard rumors and it is listed on IMDB that Baz is currently in pre-production for The Great Gatsby. Baz told charitybuzz that he is “currently coming to a determination about whether it will be a historical epic, a major musical work, or a literary adaptation.”

Does that mean he knows what the film is, just not how he’ll be presenting it? Or is he still mulling over his options? One thing is for sure, if you’re on the set for it, you’ll know what it is! So here is what you can win…

Not only will the highest bidder appear as a featured extra in the film, but they will also have a specifically designed and fitted costume created for them by double-Oscar winning production and costume designer Catherine Martin (I wonder if she can make me look like Nicole Kidman??? Nevermind, that would take a magician, not a costume designer)

After filming, the bidder will keep the fabulous costume, as well as a mounted and framed costume design sketch, signed by Baz Luhrman and Catherine Martin. Additionally, the bidder will receive a behind the scenes/making of footage of the successful bidder’s time on set showing them being personally directed by Baz Luhrmann

Bidding is open now through April 29th at charitybuzz!!!

The nice part about this auction is that not only will you be doing something fun for yourself, but you’ll also be helping others. Proceeds from this auction will benefit the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights, a nonprofit that provides innovative support to courageous human rights defenders around the world.
