Harrison Ford Confirmed for Cowboys and Aliens

Cowboys & Aliens director Jon Favreau is really causing a sh*tstorm via his Twitter account thanks to his latest entry. He posted a major production development that has to do with the addition of Harrison Ford to the film’s cast. Yesterday rumors popped up that Indiana Jones…I mean Ford had signed on but there was no official confirmation. Apparently, the buzz got to be too much for Favreau and he finally came out of his cave to set the record straight.

Latino Review initially reported that Ford “was about to join a huge comic book movie to be directed by a director coming off a soon to be released huge comic book movie.” This was speculation paired with a tweet from Favreau himself that stated, “Some very cool Cowboys & Aliens casting news coming soon…” After being strung along for a bit, we all wanted a solid answer and today we finally got one.

Please stop asking if Harrison Ford is in Cowboys & Aliens. Okay? He is. Please don’t tell anybody.

It will be interesting to see who Ford will play in the film because he’ll be starring opposite Daniel Craig who’s already been hired as the lead character. The story for Cowboys & Aliens centers on outer-space creatures who land in Arizona circa the mid-19th century intent on enslaving the local population — until a group of cowboys and Apache Indians fight back. Craig will play Zeke Jackson, the revolt leader and a very talented gunman.

So we will have Indiana Jones versus James Bond in the desert? You know what that means…gun fight!
