With the release of Iron Man 2 just over a month away, Paramount Pictures isn’t exactly opening the floodgates when it comes to new footage from the superhero flick, but they have offered a few fleeting and somewhat interesting clips in the latest international TV spots.
The first clip offers up the only footage thus far of Mickey Rourke’s Whiplash character getting down to the business of actual badassery—even if it does only last a near-subliminal second—as well as more repartee between Robert Downey, Jr.’s Tony Stark and Sam Remember-When-I-Used-To-Act? Jackson’s Nick Fury, which seems to be setting up the upcoming Avengers film.
The second clip focuses more on Stark’s “team” that grows around him, which appears to include Fury, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, and Don Cheadle’s War Machine (which looks ridiculously cool if you’re a 14-year-old at heart and I am).
If these clips, trailers, and commercials are any indication, Iron Man 2 is definitely cut from the same witty, SFX-laden popcorn film cloth as the original—and in this case, that’s a good thing.

What do you think of the new clips? Does Iron Man 2 look like it will have more action than its predecessor?
