How would you react if you found the script for the final film in the Harry Potter franchise? One lucky bar patron in Britain was faced with that predicament when the 118 page script for The Deathly Hallows was left on the floor under a table. According to The NYP, over the holiday weekend workers from the movie accidentally left it behind after a celebratory night out.
The incident occurred on Thursday night at Waterside Tavern, when several crew members went to unwind after a long day of shooting. The Deathly Hallows is currently wrapping up production at Leavesden Studios in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, and the group was out celebrating. Apparently, the drinks started flowing and everyone was having a great time, so much so that they forgot to take all of their belongings with them when they left.
When the Potter script was found by an unsuspecting customer they were in complete shock.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes. I know guys that work on the film drink in the pub, but it’s very embarrassing that someone could just leave it there.”
They wouldn’t reveal what they discovered about the film, but we’ve heard that several drastic changes have been made that aren’t supported in the original book written by J.K. Rowling. Also, when the script was found it was marked “Private and Confidential,” which in my opinion pretty much screams ‘read me’!
What would you have done if you had found the script? Are you surprised it was left at a bar?
