Yesterday we posted the new full length trailer for M. Night Shyamalan‘s The Last Airbender; today, the Japanese movie trailer has surfaced, and it includes a lot more fighting, a lot less talking, and never before seen effects.
The Last Airbender is based on the Nickelodeon animated TV series of a young boy named Aang (Noah Ringer) who has the ability to manipulate elements and bring all the nations at war, together. He’s aided by Katara (Nicola Peltz), a Waterbender, and her bull-headed brother Sokka. Dev Patel also stars as the Fire Nation’s evil prince Zuko who attempts to capture Aang to regain his honor and right to the throne.
It may be because the narration of the Japanese Airbender is in well, Japanese, that it gives off this deeper and more serious vibe. The one things this trailer is missing Dev Patel — maybe he’s not very big in the Japanese market?
One of the main reasons to go see the film this summer is because of Patel. It’s nice to see him playing such a bad-ass doing ‘matrix’ stunts onscreen.

The Last Airbender hits theaters July 2, 2010.
