The wait has been rough, but in a few months Sylvester Stallone‘s The Expendables will hit theaters. So far, this film seems to have more ‘umpf’ in it than any other action film coming our way (excluding Kick-Ass, of course). Lucky for us, a new poster has just been released as well as some long awaited buzz from the ShoWest trailer premiere.
The Expendables includes a kick-ass cast of action veterans such as Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke and even our dear governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film centers around a group of mercenaries who are hired by the government to over-throw a dictator in South America. There’s a lot of ammunition, tattoos, and stunts, but overall the film looks very promising. The film debuts in August 2010 on Friday the 13th (thought I should point that out).
The trailer for the film recently premiered during the ShoWest Festival and from what we’re hearing from our own Mali Elfman this movie is going to be worth the wait. There were plenty of explosions and the film definitely plays into the 80′s action flicks we’re using to seeing from its stars. The only downside was that it showed too many spoilers, including the footage of Arnold Schwarzenegger. We thought his appearance was supposed to be a surprise cameo so why would they put his parts in the trailer?
What do you think of the latest Expendables poster?
