A trailer has been released for Julia Roberts’ latest big screen effort entitled, Eat, Pray, Love. The film is based on the popular novel of the same name and along with Roberts features a cast of Oscar winning and nominated actors. She’s joined by Richard Jenkins, Javier Bardem, Viola Davis and Billy Crudup.

Eat, Pray, Love centers on an unhappy woman who embarks on a journey of self-discovery around the world. Throughout her emotional rollercoaster of a life she seeks counsel from her best friend played by Davis, as well as an Indian man who gives her a prophecy of her future. She struggles through several relationships including the fading one with her husband (Crudup) and a fling with a younger man (James Franco).

She travels from place to place looking for answers as to why she no longer has a zest for life. After watching this trailer all I can say is, it must be nice to be able to take such trips in this economy. That’s all that was on my mind, which is probably a bad thing since there’s a lot of emotional stuff going on during this video. The film is scheduled for a summer release on August 13th and is directed by Ryan Murphy.
