Funny Oscar Nominated Movie Posters

Now that all the seriousness of the Academy Awards has come and gone it’s time to laugh and have some fun! There were ten nominees this year in the Best Picture category and the folks over at College Humor thought it would be great to read between the lines of their posters. Out of the group of movies featured my favorite revamped poster is for Pixar’s Up. It takes a direct dig at DreamWorks Animation, and adds fuel to the long running fire between the two. The Avatar and District 9 satires are neck and neck in the comedy department because they both have underlying messages but one has “less magic” than the other. Oddly enough, they were able to make light of a movie as serious and depressing as Precious, which was refreshing. That movie has such a dark tone that their version of its poster was a welcome change.
Other funny posters include An Education, The Blind Side, The Hurt Locker, A Serious Man, and Up in The Air, a movie that really got the shaft at the Oscars. Check out the hilarious posters below…
