The SXSW Festival is almost here and the final preparations are being made for one of its biggest debuts, Kick-Ass. The Matthew Vaughn feature will premiere on opening day and over at MTV, they’ve unveiled a new promotional poster for the movie and announced the latest actors who’ll be attending the film’s panel.

According to the site, Kick-Ass stars Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse along with comic creators Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. will be in attendance at SXSW to accompany the film’s premiere. Not only that, but MTV has debuted one of three new limited edition posters that will only be available during signings at the show. The first one is of the title character and it states, “I want you to Kick Ass. Become a Superhero Today.” It’s very old school, in an Uncle Sam kind of way.

Kick-Ass is based on the edgy comic that begs the question, what would happen if superheroes really did exist? The film centers on a group of crime fighting vigilantes who don’t have any super powers, but overcompensate with weapons and attitude. It’s a prime example of fantasy meeting reality, with a bit of comedy thrown in.
