What’s a person to do when their hit show abruptly comes to an end? If you are the creator of a mafia series that’s considered one of the greatest television shows of all time you hopefully come back with another hit. According to Deadline Hollywood, “The Soprano’s” creator David Chase is set to make his feature directing debut later this summer/early fall.

The script that has no title as of yet was written by Chase himself and sadly, it doesn’t have anything to do with the mafia. So far the details we have about the feature centers on a bunch of guys who form a rock band in the 1960s. Chase will also produce the film along with Mark Johnson.

“The Soprano’s” also started off as an idea for a feature film and we all know what that led to. If you are a “Soprano’s” fan, I know what you are thinking; Chase will never be able to create another property that’s close to it. But he’s a talented individual and we should keep an open mind about this one, he may be on to something.

Do you think Chase can rebound from The Soprano’s and make a theatrical hit?
