The winner of the 2010 Academy Award for Best Original Song goes to Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett for “The Weary Kind (Theme from Crazy Heart).” Bingham spoke for both himself and T Bone when he thanked their families and the cast/crew from the film before they quietly walked off the stage. It was short and sweet.

The Princess and the Frog: Set in New Orleans, this romantic fairy tale, written and directed by John Musker and Ron Clements is centered on a young girl named Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) and her fateful kiss with a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again. Also “starring” Bruno Campos, Keith David and even Oprah.
Paris 36: Director Christophe Barratier tells a story of an aging stage manager at a music hall in Paris that is charged with murder. Throughout his confession, the film takes us through a flashback to New Year’s Eve 1935 when he caught his wife cheating and his life when 180 after. The film stars Gérard Jugnot, Clovis Cornillac, and Nora Arnezeder.
Nine: This Rob Marshallfilm is about famous film director Guido Contini and his struggles to find harmony in his professional and personal lives, as he engages in dramatic relationships with his wife, his mistress, his muse, his agent, and his mother. The public have lost faith in his creativity and with ten days left before the the start of principal filming of his latest movie, ambitiously titled “Italia”, he wants to prove them all wrong. The film stars Daniel Day-Lewis as the title role along with super star big actresses Penélope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Sophia Loren.
Crazy Heart: Written and directed by Scott Cooper and based on the novel by Thomas Cobb, Fox Searchlight Pictures presents Crazy Heart, starring Jeff Bridges, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Robert Duvall. Bridges stars as the richly comic, borderline-tragic, romantic anti-hero Bad Blake. Blake’s a washed up, hard-living country music singer who’s had far too many years on the road. Then one day he meets Jean Craddock (Gyllenhall) a journalist who discovers the real man behind the musician.
