So tonight, Wednesday March 3rd at 7:00pm, Scripped will be hosting its first “Hollywood 2.0″ event of the year at Mahalo’s offices and yours truly will be on the panel. Yikes! I’ve attended a lot of panels, asked many questions, but this will be my first time on the other side of the battlefield, hopefully I won’t come out too scarred.

According to the website: The topic of the discussion will be “Film Production and Online Distribution – Strategies for Success” This will be an especially useful chat for those of you interested in hearing how quality content is put together, and how to go about distributing content on the web.

This is where it gets really scary: Our panelists for this event will be:

  • Sean Percival – Director of Content Socialization, MySpace, founder
  • Shira Lazar – Blogger, show host and television personality,
  • Tyler Crowley – Director of Strategy, Mahalo, producer of several web series
  • Mali Elfman – Editor-in-Chief, Screencrave, producer

All a part of the Do Not Disturb adventure! I can tell you, I’ve been quite happy just working away on the film without speaking to anyone about it. Recently I’ve learned that I’m going to have to talk about it and in some sort of coherent way. Apparently if you make a movie, people care about what you have to say… Or people tell you that people care. Either way I’m going up there and saying something! We’ll see what happens!

Wish me luck!
