It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Mischa Barton grace the small screen on a respectable show. And in no way, shape or form am I implying that “The O.C.” was high brow, but it was better than that series she did on The CW that only lasted two episodes last year. The actress is trying to add some credibility to her resume by appearing as a “lady of the night” on “Law & Order: SVU.”
Barton will guest star on tonight’s episode of “SVU” as a prostitute names Gladys who’s also pregnant. Yeah, that adds a whole new dimension of complications to her role, which shouldn’t be shocking since that’s what “SVU” does best. Her character is described as “the lone survivor out of a string of murdered call girls.” This grants her some special protection from Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay), which will impact the storyline in more ways than one.
Here’s a question: when do Benson and Stabler NOT get personally involved with their cases? That’s what makes the show so great. They go after rapists, murderers, and pedophiles with a vengeance! The show will kick off with a two hour event that starts at 9 PM with the episode entitled, “P.C.,” with guest star Kathy Griffin, followed by “Savior” at 10 PM.
Here’ s sneak peek of Barton in action…
