Disney is trying to prove that their marketing campaign for Tron Legacy isn’t one dimensional, by releasing two new photos back to back. Just yesterday we saw the first image of Flynn’s arcade and now we have another image that features Garrett Hedlund standing in front of it. In other words, they’re similar photos that are shot from different angles. Take a look…
Our first peek at Flynn’s arcade was from a high angle that showed a motorcycle in the distance. That motorcycle was being steered by Hedlund, who appears in the review mirror of the latest photo. This time we get a shot of the Flynn’s sign straight on, but unfortunately its blurry. The studio manages to give us a little and still take a big chunk of the reveal away. Both images are said to be screencaps from the upcoming trailer that we’ve been patiently waiting for since the teaser dropped last summer.
Tron Legacy will center on Kevin Flynn’s (Jeff Bridges) son Sam (Hedlund), and his attempt to rescue his father from inside the Tron program. It turns out that Kevin has been living in the digital world for the past 25 years, and has had little to no contact with his son. Aided by his trusted friend Quorra (Olivia Wilde), Sam embarks on a life-and-death journey to escape the cyber universe that has become far more advanced and dangerous since the last time we saw it.
Tron Legacy will debut in theaters on December 17, 2010.
